Andair Valve Handle

I need to remove the handle from a Andair fuel valve in a RV 7. The locking button covers the center screw securing the handle to the shaft. How does this come apart? Thanks

Don, the Andair valve came with a special tool for that screw. It's simply a modified allen wrench, where the short leg of the "L" has been cut even shorter. If you still have the packaging from your valve, it's probably in there somewhere. If not, a new one is easy to make.

You definitely need two hands for this one, and putting the valve body in a vise if it's not fixed in the plane will also help. Pull up on the red knob, and use the modified allen wrench to get at that screw.
