Tunica: Amazing FBO & Cheap Fuel

On my way between Roswell NM and Atlanta GA I stopped at the Tunica airport for some go juice and the FBO was so fancy I thought it was a terminal. They have a giant awning so that you pull up into the shade, and they refuel you right there. Inside it is all marble, wood, and flat screen TVs with a delicatessen. All this at what is otherwise is a tiny little podunk airport. Fuel was $4.00 a gallon. I recommend it... Parking in the shade is the shiznit on a hot day.

Formerly M97, it is now KUTA. By the way, just type the city and state in AirNav, it will give you the airport ID.

We have more than 4 airports in MS. I promise. And some of us even know that the M is capitalized. ;-)

The Tunica FBO caters to high-rolling gamblers headed to 'the boats'. Tunica County went from being literally the poorest county in the country to paving all the roads in the county (not a joke). Still can't say much for the schools, though.

BTW, here's a neat trick in Google Maps. Type in a town & state in the search bar & hit 'go'. Once it zooms to the town, go back to the search bar & type 'airports' & hit go again. (Or, just type 'airports' in front of the city/state name.

Isn't Tunica MS to place with all the Casino's?
A quick google search showed 9 casinos.

I know I hit that shift key. My apologies to the great state of Mississippi.

What I meant to say: I did a search on airnav of Tunica and came up with four airports.

I am going to have to keep this one on the list. You never can tell when the urge might happen to hit the casinos. One state to the left, a quick hop when the RV7A is completed.
