Parking Brake installation RV-8

Hi Volks,

I ordered the Parking Brake Valve PV2 from Vans. I thought it will also work for the RV8, since this is the only Parking Brake on the Vans-Website...

The Vans PV2 is equal to the PVPV-D from MATCO :

Yesterday, I searched some threads and saw, that all RV8 builders use a different parking brake valve:

Which parking brake would you recommend? How have you installed it?
Pictures or links would be very helpful...

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Anna

I used the Matco like you posted, with elbows... I think both models can be made to work...

I did not hook up a Bowden cable as I can reach under the panel to operate it. I do find that the "brake on" arc is quite critical and it is easy to get one brake holding and not the other. I test it before I trust it to make sure both brakes are holding.
