Default wiring harnesses for panel?

When do you get the wiring harnesses for the panel? With the finishing kit? Or when you order the avionics you plan to use?

I ordered the finishing kit and just wondering about this issue, since I don't recall the question during ordering.

thanks

From what I have seen you will get the harnesses from your avionics provider such as Steinair. I am a little confused on the fuselage wiring harness as I saw a post yesterday saying Vans can provide that harness for the RV 14 but I haven't been able to find it on their parts and accessories .

From this document:

"... Common Fuselage Harness
o Description is mentioned above. Harness, aux music jack, power outlet
and instructions for installation to mate to the empennage and wing
root connectors
o Status: Kit is available. Order the “ES WH-00125 Kit”. "

You can also order fuselage harness from SteinAir - I plan to go that route.

I asked Sterling about the fuselage harness and whether I needed to order it from Van's. He said, if I was ordering from Stein or equivalent, they would provide the harness, including the wiring to the sticks. The Van's harness is available if you want to do it yourself.
