A question. . .
When I built my RV6A back in the 90's I followed a Bob Nuckolls Schematic that called for a Primary and Secondary bus that relied on a diode array to power the primary bus during normal operations. It actually works well but with one drawback, the diode array pulls the voltage down over a full volt.
With the original avionics installation there was rarely an issue, but some of the newer avionics I've installed are giving me low voltage warnings. Essentially I now have to throw both the aircraft master and the Primary master to adequately power the avionics.
My question is, is there a more efficient alternative to the diode array that I originally installed?
Thanks.
