Default RV-1 Denver stop on the Barnstormer Tour

Denver area RVers, come see the aircraft that started it all! The RV-1 will be in Denver at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport KBJC this coming Wednesday May 30th. It is scheduled to arrive mid afternoon, and will be on display at the Lima Hangars at BJC, located on 120th Avenue between the large NCAR hangar and the Forest Service ramp, and across the street from Redstone College.

The address is 10900 W. 120th Avenue, Broomfield, CO Hangar A-8

There will be a reception and open house from approximately 3:30 until 7:00 p.m. Food and drink will be served.

If you would like to fly in, we would suggest parking in front of the BJC terminal building. We will run a shuttle to and from the terminal building to the RV-1 viewing area as needed.

For a ride from the terminal to the RV-1 sight, call:
303-941-7616 ~ 303 949-9531 ~ 970-219-9295

For further information, contact Jim Gray at 303 949-9531

Jim and team,
Just wanted to say thanks for the event at Rocky Mountain Metro yesterday. It was great to see the RV-1 and meet other local RVr's!

Thanks

Aaron

Default Denver RV-1 Photos

Thanks to Jim Gray and all of his volunteers at BJC. They did an excellent job getting ready for the -1 and Jim's hangar was the perfect place to showcase the airplane.

I was honored to be one of the escorts into BJC and thrilled to have a photo of my RV-4 taken with the -1. Sitting in the airplane was icing on the cake and erased any envy of those who are flying it across the country.

I don't have the capability to upload my photos to VAF but I could send them to someone who does. send me a PM if you are interested.

Thanks again for touring the airplane...

Chris M.

I posted this in another thread, but this seems like a more logical place for it...I think there are about 3 or 4 RV-1 threads. I also attended and had a great time, here is my blog post and a few pics. Many thanks to all the people involved to pull it off.

Ron,
I did the same thing. Here are a few pics I posted earlier.

I was able to get over from Glenwood Springs just in time to see the squad coming in - smoking and looking great!
Here are a few pictures and below is a link to a few more. What a nice day - so well planned and prepared for everyone who came to see the RV-1.
