SS Firewall

Quick question. Prime or not prime the Stainless Steel Firewall?
Either side?
Any opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks:)

No prime, either side.
SS is not going to rust/corrode, and it's very hard to get paint to stick to it unless the surface is roughed up.

One and one.

Engine side left alone. Inside prepped and primed to match all priming inside. We were living along the TEXAS golf coast, so priming everything from the inside-out was a good idea. I am not up on all the physics but have been told that keeping all the suffice as close to the same charge will help with corrosion. So we used the same self-etch corrosion primer on every thing as it went together. The engine side, will get oil, brake fluid and whatever on it as time go's on, so priming it will just get wasted. If you don't seal all the cracks, holes and pass-threw points on the engine side, the pressure in the engine compartment will force hot oil inside the cabin. Don't ask how I know. Just my two cents. Yours as always. R.E.A. III #80888

Here's my firewall. Others have done some pretty cool designs.
