Hi ya'll,
So I'm a software geek and have an Android phone. For one of my other hobbies we frequently need to exchange position information using SMSes (due to poor cell coverage and ham line of sight issues).
So I wrote a little (free) app that might also be useful for RV tracking (on the ground). This application both displays and sends SMS based position updates and it is certainly no replacement for APRS/Spot/EPRB, but I bet it has some use for some of ya'll.
So if you have a suitable phone, please give it a try and tell me what you think:
