I'm sorry to hear of your loss, but happy to see you'll have a new family member in short order.

I adopted my first dog two weeks ago, and am already in love with my 10 week old lab (named Rivet). If you and the pup are ever in the vicinity of Hicks I've got a dog pen and plenty of treats!

Really sorry to hear Pete, people who are not dog owners can't relate to how attached you become.

Pete, So sorry about your dog. I know how hard the loss of a good dog is. Your final act of kindness relieved him of his pain at the end of a happy life with your family and Iím sure he is grateful.

Started reading the beginning of this post not realizing it was 2008. I was very happy for your family and the dog. Then saw that it was from that long ago and went to the end of the post. Talk about a mood swing. I instantly went from joy to sorrow for your loss. After having gone through this with 3 dogs I know it never gets easier. Dogs are such amazing pets. They give so much love and entertainment yet require so little from us. Very sorry for your loss!!!

Well...that sucks. Dogs are proof that there is such a thing as unconditional love. Sorry to hear about your loss Pete!
