FAB Bypass Door Cable routing

Hi all,

I am buildng an RV6 but my question is valid for the -7 also.

I have received the Vans FAB Bypass door kit and am about to install it.

My question is where have you folks located the firewall penentration for the actuating cable? The instn instuctions dont cover this & show it going off to the Starboard side at a 45 degre angle. That side is pretty cluttered with other stuff so I am thinking about the LHS.

If anybody has installed this kit I would be grateful for the lateal & vertical location of their firewall penentration.

On my -6A, I mounted the control on the LHS of the panel, just to the right of the standard fresh air vet eyeball. The control is mounted to the lower lip of the panel, penetrates the lower section of the sub-panel, out the firewall, and then snakes its way to the FAB box.
