Mag Wiring Question

It seems to me that the wires from the harness on my Slick Magneto are too long. Some seem to be the right length and some need to be 12-18" shorter. Am I missing something here? Any thoughts? Can I tie them off in a loop? I have them all going to the correct cylinder. i.e. T-1 to the top 1 cylinder.

Any help or comments is greatly appreciated!!!

Are you sure you have the harness on the correct side?
Having the left and right harnesses reversed will cause this problem.

I am Polish...

But, I did recheck. The one marked "L" is on the left side and the one marked "R" is on the right side...any other thoughts??? Anyone? Pictures of where you attached the wires in the FWF? Thanks!

Do you have a Superior Air Parts engine??

If so, the magneto wiring diagram, as depicted in their documentation, is wrong.

You need to look at the barrel nuts that are at the end of each plug wire. Each barrel is stamped correctly with the plug location (example 1T, 1B) of where the plug wire should go.

The correct diagram is in a different Superior document.

And although the diagram is hard to read, I just followed the barrel nut to the correct spark plug. Any other help. I pay in tasty beer!
