I have the 4 standard flap positions calibrated for my RV-10. VANs build manual states maximum speeds as follows:
0 deg, no limit
3 deg "trail", 140 mph (~121 kts)
18 deg, 110 mph (~95 kts)
33 deg, 100 mph (~86 kts)
I have the G3x configured as follows:
Full Flap Max Airspeed = 86 kts
Partial Flap Max Airspeed = 121 kts
I assume 3 deg will be allowed under 121 kts and full flaps under 86 kts.
What is the logic for the 18 deg flap position? Does this also use 86 kts as the max?
