Default RV8 RUDDER NEEDED

I need a rudder for RV8. Any one with a usable one please reply.

Is the -7 the same? I have a -7 that is pretty good shape as I remember. It has been in storage for a couple years. I can go take a look at it to refresh my memory about its condition if it will work.

Not sure if a 7 Wil work. I can call Vans on Monday. I would love to have it if it does work.

You might need to have the serial numbers handy for them to help. I think the answer might be, "it depends" based on when the RV-7 rudder in question was punched/delivered.

Yea thats good advise. I have them and will see what they say. In any case cold you do a pictur or two,for me? That would be nice. I could possibly look at those and determine if there are significant differences.

I also am in Florida, and as you know the weather here is not so good for th next few days. My power could be in question on Monday.

I can run over and take a few pictures. Not sure what the serial number is...came with some wings I bought. I can call the guy I got them from if we get that far.

The early RV-7 rudder is the same as the RV-8. The Larger later RV-7 rudder is way larger. Many people updated to the larger rudder on the RV-7 at the advise of Vans and may have their old one tucked away. If so it should fit the RV-8

I'm also in Jacksonville, Fl, so if you decide to order a rudder from Vans, I would be happy to help buck some rivets.
