Aymar-Demuth Props

We are all saddened by the passing of Mike Demuth in Feb.
He was a fine man to talk/listen to.

Can anyone tell me where they are getting repair/restore work done on their Aymar-Demuth props.

I am looking for someone to place a metal edge on my A-D composite prop.

I do Refinish/Refurbish work on other manufactures props along with the ones I Craft.

I do not know of anyone adding Metal leading edges though.

I can replace the leading edge with a Polymer Alloy which is what I install on all new props.

The Aymar-Demuth prop on my RV-6 (likely made around 2002) came with some kind of epoxy filled leading edge. In spots where the paint has come off a little bit, the epoxy underneath looks gray.... like it might be J-B Weld or Marine-Tex.

I still avoid flying in rain with it. On the way to Oshkosh, I had no choice but to fly thru some amounts of very light rain, but I reduced the RPMs to about 2000 and the prop handled that just fine without any visible signs of rain erosion.
