Default RV-1 - Updating the Logbook!

You know how it goes folks - an airplane job isn't finished until the paperwork is finished! And this particular bit of paperwork is (I believe) of utmost importance - making sure that all of our contributors (in any form) are enshrined in the logbook of the airplane at the museum.

We have a pretty good list of financial and vendor donations. I have a good list of the pilots. I think that Louise has a pretty good list of the folks who worked th tour (she may update us on that). But I am currently trying to reconstruct - from various scraps of paper - all of the folks that laid hands on the airplane during the restoration at RV Central. Some days, good records were kept, others, well....not so much.

In order to make sure that we capture as many of the names of the people that worked on the plane as possible, please EMAIL me at I know that canvasing like this will generate an incomplete list, but if I couple it with other lists, we can come close. If you brought along a friend or compatriot that also helped, but you don't think they will see this note - please send me their name as well. I can cull out the duplicates pretty easily.

Thanks again for everyone who made this a COMMUNITY effort!!

Arrow RV-1 Log Book /Recognition Pages

Aside- Please accept my sincere and heartfelt 'Thank You' for your generosity, commitment, and financial support of this historic aviation event. By all accounts, the RV-1 project was the largest event of its kind ever in the homebuilt community, and by YOUR efforts a significant page in homebuilt aviation history has been recorded and preserved for future generations. Job well done!

I also want to acknowledge Paul and Louise for their untiring efforts, guidance, and assistance in mission critical aspects of this historic event. There were times when it seemed the tail was wagging the dog, but they never turned loose and stayed the course.

RV-1 Aircraft Log Book -
Please review the following lists and reply here with any errors or omissions.
I'll make corrections through next Monday. The pages will then be made a permanent entry into the RV-1 Aircraft Log Book and the books forwarded to the EAA Museum.
Thanks for your help!

I was the coordinator for the stop in Toledo (Executive - KTDZ) when the RV-1 returned to the US after its Canadian tour leg. I don't see my name.

I think I read a post on here from Walt that said that Don Pansier of Delta Pop donated the Com antenna to the RV1.

Delta Pop Aviation supplied the VHF Com antenna and FEDEX overnight to have the package available when needed.

Yes, it was a last minute decision to install the SL40 but no one had a comm antenna locally that they were willing to donate. I called Don in a panic as the aircraft was scheduled to depart in 3 days .

Don overnighted me one of his bent whip comm antenna's to meet the schedule. I would also like to say that the antenna worked extremely well even buried in the fuselage of the RV1

I would also like to add Perihelion Design to the list, they were kind enough to donate the low voltage monitor (idiot llight) for the RV1.

There are one or two of my safety wires holding screws at the FAB from when I helped out Dan H. in Alabama during the fuel flow problem. Also acted as ground run pilot so Dan could listen to the engine. And, gave $20 to Louise at SNF for fuel.
I was very happy to be able to contribute in my own little way

Default duplicate

I seem to be in the escort list twice. Unless there was another with my name... seems unlikely :-)

Default missing from the restoration list

I was at RV Central on 3 different occasions helping with restoration. There is a steel plate fabricated on the firewall along with rudder pedal cable connections and safety wire, brake lines, prop hub bolts, and many other numerous parts with my DNA on them. Also, Mary was there once last winter helping. We are both missing from the "restoration" list.
