Default WTB full swivel TW

I am looking for a full swivel tail wheel to replace the old non swivel tail wheel on my newly acquired RV 4. It must fit the standard tail whell spring used by Vans. Any help appreciated.

Default Direct Replacement Tailwheel Kit

This link is for a Direct Replacement Spring/Tailwheel Kit. I used it on my RV and I’m very pleased with it.

Default TW

If you buy a complete used spring and tail wheel assy it may not fit.
The spring was drilled "in assembly" so each one is different.
So buying a used already drilled one probably wont work.
You can just buy the swivel TW bracket then remove your spring.
It will need the end cut off, then someone to machine or turn down the shaft.
Reassemble the parts, then drill the swivel unit and tail spring, in assembly.
Make sure you keep it cleaned and well greased.

Thanks for the advise. I was going to remove the spring and put it in the lathe. I was hoping that someone out there might have a surplus assembly without the spring.

Contact Blake for anything related to the tailwheel.

He also has a tech sheet to hit the high points of swapping, converting, maintaining the tailwheels, springs, bolts, tapered pins, etc. Free for the asking.

I just replaced my tailspring, wheel, fork, springs and everything else. If you lay the freight, I'll send it to you.
