RV 4 COWL LONG or SHORT

I'm New Here
I have a Vans RV-4 cowl (never installed and no paperwork) and do not know if it is a short or long version. Does anyone know how I can tell the difference? Thanks in advance, Tom.
 
My Vans RV-4 cowl that uses a 2.25" extension for FP is 36" from firewall to nose. So I think a "short" cowl should be 36" and the long 38".
