Just curious, is the wire from the Van's float type fuel gauge a power or ground? Thanks, Jim

The sender is internally grounded, so I guess the answer to your question is yes, the wire from the gauge to the sender is ground. Buss power to the other side of the gauge.

The wire goes to ground through the float sender which varies the resistance to ground.
