Default RV12

Looking for a buyer for a secondary school built RV12.

Launceston Church Grammar School has just ordered an empennage kit for an RV12. At this stage we are building the empennage kit as part of our STEM program, but if we can find a buyer for the project we will build the whole plane.

We are situated in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. We have an aeronautical engineer on our staff and several local kit builders to help us out. We aim to take things slow and carefully and build a top quality product. The finished kit will be sold for the cost of the build - LCGS is not aiming to get anything out of the project apart from a fantastic experience for our students.

If your interested or know someone who is, then send me a PM.

It may be worth contacting Eagles Nest Projects in the US if you haven't already done so.
They have done this many times now and may have some useful tips. Good luck with the project. It would be great to see more of this happening in Australia.

Edit: another thought - contact RAAus and SAAA and put an ad or write-up in their magazines.

Good luck on all this--sounds like a great plan. We did this with Eagle's Nest (I was founder of that) and now are doing it with AviationNation. We have our first one sold and almost ready to deliver as AN, Inc and really haven't had any trouble selling them. Let everyone know that by buying early, they can spec things like interior color, options, and such, and that they are helping further aviation. Suggest that you add lights and autopilot, if you haven't sold by that point. Almost everyone wants those. PM me if you want any added info. Congratulations on doing a Good Thing over there!
