Default Serious Buyer HERE

Hello everyone. I have just joined this forum as I am looking to purchase an RV in the next couple of weeks. I am looking for an RV6, 7 or 9. Also, a model is ok. I am looking for something with at lease 180hp. I would like to have some glass or all glass. IFR is a must and an auto pilot would be preferred...
PLEASE PM me if you are willing to let your baby go to a new home.

Default Good hunting


As I’m sure you realize RV aircraft are great little flying machines. Here are a couple of suggestions as you focus your search.

1. Don’t become too attached to a particular RV during your search.
2. Set hard but reachable criteria.
3. Remember these are amateur built aircraft therefore build quality is very important.
3A. See rule #1.

4. It’s extremely important you get qualified assistance during your search to help you identify “quality” from “suspect.” Find someone who’s built an RV that you know built an excellent airplane.
5. Make sure you get a prebuy inspection by someone who is a qualified A&P and has “experience” with RV aircraft. The money you spend here will more than offset any cost you will encounter latter from undisclosed or discovered problems.
6. I cannot over emphasis this point enough, get “type transition training” from an experienced RV instructor pilot. RVs are easy to fly - but they can surprise you if your caught “unaware.”
7. Remember, pretty airplanes are nice but paint can hide a lot of “ills.”

Might look at this one? Comes highly recommended and maybe negotiable or not but a good find for sure.
