Active EAA chapters north of Chicago?

I just moved to the Northwest suburbs (Vernon Hills area) from CA and am looking for an active EAA chapter to join. I saw the list on EAA and there are chapters in Grayslake and Schaumburg.

Any members of these chapters on these boards? I'd much rather find one closer to me than further away (obviously), but wouldn't mind driving the distance if it is worth it. Sadly there's nothing in Waukegan where I'll be renting from.

I know a few of the guys from Chapter 101 and they normally meet in Schaumburg I believe. They are an active chapter and do a lot of volunteer and set up work for Oshkosh each year. A good way to meet some of the members would be at their annual Brat dinner on Saturday night at Camp Scholler. They probably have info about it on their website.
