I'm contemplating adding a Garmin GNC 355 to my RV8 panel. I'd like to put it in the same place that I now have my SL30. The height of the SL30 is 1.3 inches and fits nicely under the Z brace. The Garmin 355 however is 2 inches high and the Z brace may be a problem. The Garmin 355 is 11.25 inches deep, about the same depth as the SL30.
Has anyone run into this situation? Do you just build around the brace, or has anyone made any modifications to the brace?
