You do not use "glue" to attach an RV-12 canopy. You build up a fiberglass canopy skirt that in combination with the plans-specified "pop-rivets" attaches the canopy bubble to the aluminum canopy frame. I suspect that most of us used WEST fiberglass products at: http://www.westsystem.com/

The fiberglass is laid up on the canopy and canopy frame itself. It is NOT built alone then attached like the Viking premade canopy skirt.

Please READ the plans ahead of time as the fiberglass work required is easily a 3-4 hour (or longer ) job. The final shaping and sanding will take a little longer. The plans take you step by step and include templates for the glass layers.

The fairing is built in situ after riveting the canopy onto the frame. It is bonded to the actual canopy bubble when you build the fibreglass. The epoxy is the only "glue" and that is part of the fibreglass system.
I recommend that you really study section34, pages 13-16. Read it through a few times and you should get a feel for what is involved.
The method you link to is nothing like the technique used in the kit assembly instructions.
Cheers,
