I?m trying to download and upload waypoints and flight plans to an EKP IV. I purchased the serial interface cable. I was under the impression that this was required, I?m not so sure now.
My user manual (for software version 2.14.162R) is not very clear on this procedure. One area states that the USB port is for factory use only. Another area states that waypoints are uploaded/downloaded thru the USB port and flight plans and tracks are uploaded and downloaded thru the serial port. A different part of manual states that waypoints are uploaded/downloaded thru the serial port.
But after visiting the website, I wonder if I need to achieve this by accessing the USRIMG.BIN file on the CF card using a CF reader and software downloaded from the website (GPX Converter). I plan on using GPX files for the transfer.
Has anyone else been down this road before? Any tips?
