Accessing wing tanks

It appears that I may have to remove the fuel senders from the wings of my 3. Is it less work to remove the wings( a real pain) or to remove the tanks from my unpainted quickbuilt wings? Thanks for your help.

I removed the tanks from the wings on my unpainted, polished -6 to repair leaks at the sender cover. It was a lot easier than I expected. They pull straight off to the front when the screws are removed. You may need to work along the flanges with some shims to get the flanges off the spar, if they are dimpled rather than countersunk.

Tanks

I removed the tanks before I removed the wings on my RV-3. They weren't that hard to remove, but be prepared to drill out screws, especially if they are stainless steel.
