My power-plant kit is arriving next week, and my Legacy RV-12 is sitting on the original nose gear leg which came with the finish kit.
I have obviously NOT drilled the holes through the nose gear leg and firewall detailed in steps 1 through 3 of page 46-08.
Van's sent an email saying my replacement nose gear leg (SB 19-08-26) will not ship until late June 2020.
My questions....
- How far should I go on section 46 before I stop and wait for the replacement nose gear?
- Are there other things to work on regarding the power-plant kit (for +/- 3 months) while I wait for the replacement nose gear if I DO NOT mount the engine?
- Could I hang the engine by the top two attach points and keep progressing through the plans (without drilling the holes in the firewall yet)?
Any input you all have will be greatly appreciated.
