RV-8 Brake master cylinder supply lines

Do not like vans plastic brake supply lines. I know I have seen somewhere separate reservoirs mounted on each master cylinder. How well does this work ? Filling the reservoirs could be interesting. Anybody have any better ideas for this mess ?

I used these and would do it again. Much cleaner without the lines.

Same here works great so far would do it again. Only issue is that you loose one notch on the rudder pedals all forward on an RV-8 to not hit the firewall on full deflection. I have the in flight adjustable ruder pedals so I adjusted my max forward stop accordingly. 6ft tall and not an issue at all. If you are really tall you might think about it.

Alot of builders I help use the master cylinder mounted reservoirs. Once the system is full of fluid, its pretty bulletproof.

Rv-8 brake reservoirs

Thanks to all who responded. This is just what the doctor ordered. Will order ASAP. What a great site. Bill, north Idaho.

Between the Grove or the Matco, which would fit better in an 8? I see from Aircraft Spruce the Matco is over 4 inches tall and the Grove is less than half that. Is the Grove fatter, so that the Matco would be a better choice to avoid the issue of the reservoirs hitting the firewall?

Cylinders

I put a 6"x8" access panel in the front baggage compartment to get to the peddle and boost pump , 6 screws and your in .
