Loose rivets

After six years of flying my rv7a, I have noticed that some of the rivets that attach the hinges to the cowl have vibrated loose and are making black shreaks on the plane surface. Is it best just to replace the rivets or should I try to put some sort of backing on the fiberglass cowl for a more secure fit.
