Recommendations for replacing Ductworks round 100W landing lights with LED lights

I should have read your write up on the Rigid lights

Instead I went to the Rigid web site which was very unrewarding. When I got ready to order the Whelen lights from Aircraft Spruce I noticed the Rigid PAR 36 compatible replacements. Then I was able to go back and successfully search the Rigid web site for the PAR 36 replacements
They seem to be about double the power as the Whelens at the same cost.

Looks like a no brainer and based on your write-up it seems the landing version has plenty of spread for taxi as well

Guess I'll go with Rigid.
Thanks

You might look in to the rigid industries lights. They were a drop in replacement for my 4" round duckworks lights and they really kick out the light.

I did a short review on them. http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=106456

Installed the Rigid lights

They are bright and the swap was direct except for crimping lugs on the wires.

My wigwag wouldn't work with these, which is something I was afraid of. They flashed at about 10hz.

For now I just disconnected the wigwag switch, but I will probably try to solve this later.
