On my -8, (not completed / flying yet) I need to improve the aesthetics on the edges around the roll bar, glare shield, windscreen / canopy, fiberglass interface.
Does anyone know of a compatible rattle can paint that will not melt, dissolve, or otherwise damage the canopy material?
I did find a Rustoleum product that says it's for plastic, but I don't dare guess. I could try it on some scrap, but I'd still be worried about the long-term.
There are enough "edges" where I'd really like to get some paint on them rather than try to just mask them off. I did use the black coloring in the fiberglass work around the windscreen, but it doesn't look quite as "finished" as I'd like.
Thanks for any advice. If nobody knows, I will try to get hold of Todd's Canopies new owner and / or the folks that make them for Van's.
