Was preparing to mount this pump in my 9A build when I noticed the condition of the wires. This pump came with the project I took over from another builder, and could be as old as 1990 when he originally purchased the kit. It was never installed. I do not know where/how the pump was stored, but it was in the original packaging.
I observe that the wires are very brittle, can be cracked anywhere along their length. Bare wires are showing at the entry to the pump housing. I would have expected that they would be more tolerant of aging.
