vision 1000 removal

I'm removing an older Vision 1000 from my RV-6 that I did not build. How do I remove the wire from the large sending units on the temp and pressure sending units so the wire will pass thru the firewall? I do not want to cut the wires in case anyone wants my used unit. Bruce Estes

If you post a picture we might be able to help you better. Are there connectors on the senders that won't go through the FW penetrations? If so, just snip the connectors off and pull the wires through. Connectors are easy to put back on.

On my used VM1000C, there were short wires from each sending unit, i.e oil temp, pressures, etc. They were generally soldered to shielded wires to the DSub connectors. If you cut just above the soldered connection, it would be easy to reconnect at a later date.
