Will MGL and E.I. play together

I want to send the tach signal from my MGL RPM-1 to my E.I. UBG-16 so that I have RPM data to graph with my other engine data. Does anyone know what signal type the MGL exports or the E.I. is looking for? I have e-mailed both companies, but don't expect much help.

The ei simply picks up a signal from the mag, at least the rpm-1 does.

The E.I. standard RPM module takes the mag pulse and converts it to a signal that can be sent to the UBG-16 via a thermocouple input chanel.

My question is, does the RPM-1 send a similar signal when it is sending info to the MGL data logger? If so, can I just send that signal to the UGB-16 instead.

The RMP-1 gets it's reference from a Hall Effect sensor.

The one I have (single) simply has two wire that connect to the mags.
