Stein eyeball vent for cabin heat?

Had my cabin heat coming through a plastic Van's vent but it was hot enough to collapse the connection sleeve.

Has anyone used a Stein vent for cabin heat? It does have nylon/delrin in it according to the ACS site.

My cabin heat is from a Vetterman muffler so it's very hot...
