GTX-330ES question

I see two connectors on the back of my 330. One is the 62 pin D-shell, I understand that one but the black square one with about 20 pins and goes nowhere is a bit of a mystery. I don't see mention of it in the installation manual either. Mine has two wires going to it. Is this a common grounding connector?

Yes, this is indeed the grounding block. If you need pins for it they can be a little challenging to find. Stein has them, if you ask nicely...

I do not recommend to use these groundblocks. I had issues with them on several aircraft with older installations. I prefer to connect them directly to ground and the shield with a ring terminal to the backshell of the connector.

I see my prewired harness has a more substantial single point ground bar. Thanks for the feedback.
