Between 1,200 and 2,300 feet Kurt. On the way were 4 traffic patterns and one arrival route.
It gets pretty congested here and more often then not I abandon sky drawings.

Interesting read Tom I do remember those days. Our theater was Mediterranean and we had very detailed maps of Italy, Turkey and Greece. Including command bunkers, airfields and radar sites. The target maps were available for study only couple hours before "Hour X" and had to be returned to a classified library right after war game was over. Good days of brainwashed youth!

That bow tie almost butchered my drawing. I wish I moved all thing lower to get a reservoir on the eye

I made three tries over a week to draw the shamrock and couldn't finish it. WX was moving in and I always ended up with disfigured leaf. This time I was lucky.
