push/pull cable guards

You know how you can get a red guard for a toggle switch to help protect against inadvertently switching it? Is there a similar thing that exists for a push/pull cable?

For logistical reasons in my RV10 I'm considering positioning my alternate intake air control near my rear and front heat controls. I want to protect against inadvertently grabbing and pulling the wrong one.

Sounds like what you want is a button lock cable. I used one (with red-anodized knob) for my alternate air mechanism. It requires a pretty firm push on the button before it can be pulled out. If you only use one of these cables in the cockpit, it should be more or less impossible to mis-identify and pull it accidentally.
