Flying to Mexico..

Looks like a trip to Mexico may be in order and I'm wondering if anybody has some information about electronic charts for down there.

I see that Jepp offers Central/South America for $405 bucks for my GNC300XL but can't find much else. Can't find anything for iPad apps like WingX or Foreflight.

What are you daring folks that are heading south using.

Thanks in advance.

It has been so long For me that I always used paper

I made an instrument approach to to the airport of entry just south of Brown Field in San Diego but all other trips were VFR. Visual navigation with a WAC chart and the old 16th edition book of Arnold Senterfitt's Airports of Mexico book were all that were needed. Most often the destinations are near the water and navigation consists of keeping the water on the correct side of the airplane and keeping track of coastal features.

Widget,
The FAA's digital products group has the WAC charts available here.
They are rastors and will make your iPad puke. However, I've taken the liberty to convert them to PDF's for you and at least on my Android tablet are quite useful.
See if this works for you.
CH-23 WAC 43 North pdf
CH-23 WAC 43 South pdf

You can also check out the Low Alt CHarts here in PDF form.
