RV-6/6A ride near KAUS?

Hello VAF,
I tried on an RV-6A and am seriously thinking about moving towards a purchase but the aircraft does not have a valid conditional inspection, it will be part of the purchase. I'm finding it hard to put an offer on something I've never flown so was wondering if there was someone around the Austin, Tx. area that would take me for a ride if I bought the BBQ or seafood?

Lockhart, several RVers there, on Saturdays they discuss world issues from their rocking chairs in the hangar but bet one of them would be willing to hop you around the patch. I think a couple of them might even be in the "white pages", search Texas.
