Unlocked canopy warning

Hi guy's, I installed Van's canopy warning aural device in my RV-14A and I get no warning thru my Skyview , if I unlatch my canopy and run up over 1800 RPM. I think my problem has to do with not properly installing the file from Van's into my Skyview. I understand this set up was designed for the RV-12 so I thought I would seek help on this forum. I'm looking for someone that understands the Skyview and how to install this file correctly to help me thru the trouble shooting.

If the file you installed is for the RV-12, the RPM setting to trigger the alarm is approximately 3700 RPM. This is based on the Rotax engine that runs over twice the RPMs that you are used to.

Thanks Nick, I went back and the RPM is not 1800 as I thought, but 2500. I will have to try having someone hold the canopy at above 2500 RPM.
