Battery Box Corrosion

Odyssey 680 in a Van?s battery box. Light Corrosion has developed only on the battery box and across the front strap. Battery ?appears? ok, 2.5 yrs since new.
I use a 10 amp Odyssey Charger to occasionally top off the battery, not trickle.
Mounted on firewall as per plans.
A hard spot to work in.
Looking for ideas and methods to best tackle this cancer after removing what Corrosion I can.

Just replaced a 2 month old Odyssey 680 that was leaking a very small amount along the bottom seam. Removed and scrubbed the battery box and surrounding with baking soda, light sanding of corrosion on the battery box and spot primed/painted.
