Which airport near Miami (south)

Going to visit the everglades and goof around for a few days. Is X51 (Homestead) OK, or would I be better off at TMB (Tamiami). Looking at cost, ease of access, best FBO and I need a rental car. Thanks for any advice from locals!

Not a Local anymore but I will reccomend Propel Aviation at TMB. lots of pop and mom ops over there...

Either one will work. Last time I used X51 as it seemed to be a cheaper option all things considered. We got the rental there (at HEJC) and overall our experience was very good. I also used TMB many times (but never for a rental car) and that was OK too.
