Prop strike question

Got a lead on a 200hp IO-360. Was on a Mooney in the 80's that had a prop strike. Question is, is there anything else you gotta worry about besides the crank/cam shaft? Both were replaced with new on this eng during an OH. What are the implications?

Thanks!

Replaced during the required prop strike inspection?

The crank the first thing to go, from what I have read. I don't recall hearing of a cam being damaged during a prop strike but I suppose it could happen. Case halves can also be damaged/cracked in the process.

Yes, the slinger groove at the front of the case can take a hit during a strike and start galling aluminum onto the crank slinger. Doesn't happen often and aluminum will keep showing in the oil if it does. The prop gov needs inspection too if you're re-using it.
