Our new RV12 (almost ready for maiden) has a panel mounted dimmer switch that can be used to dim or brighten the displays. You have to go into the menus and change the source to external rather than internal.
If you now turn the dimmer switch, it will display for you the external brightness voltage. Ours ranges from .2 volts to .6 volts, which is too low for the switch to do anything to our display.
Both Dynon and Van's Aircraft are not able to tell us why this voltage is so low. It should be more in the range of about 1 volt to 12 volts.
Has anyone else had any troubles getting their dimmer switch to function and possibly give us some advice?
