Block Island RI

Vlad

Well Known Member
A week or two ago Agent Orange (Andy) and I were hungry with nothing to do.
After big breakfast at Nashua NH we got some octane booster at Parlin Field and launched to Block Island for desert.

It's a quick one hour hop from the heart of New Hampshire. Block Island looks totally abandoned.

Not the Bahamas but beautiful in its grandeur.

Andy skimming icy ocean looking for whales.

The marina where an annual event is planned. You can see the runway above.

Had a nice piece of pie for desert and left in opposite direction.

Andy went to Connecticut and I went under radar.

As you already know there is no tactical advantage to fly between 100 and 10,000 feet...

I want to go!

Maybe this summer sometime - These places should pay Vlad a commission if we come....

I have no idea Ron. Something yellow flicked to the right and I blindly pressed the trigger :)

nice PIREP....but.....but....

Vlad, another great Pie-Run!
...but what the heck is that white stuff alongside the runway? I just cut my lawn!

I love the giant bunny, we need more weird like that! ( probably leftover from some zombie movie set!)
What a great old hotel or.....????
almost a landing field out front.
Makes you wonder how old that staircase is...since the last slide eh?

keep up the trip reports, we are envious!

bear intel

I hope this works....found this critter by sheer chance. Obviously some kind of clandestine coastal RV surveillance radar!

20 ton teddy

Tom:

thanks for the intel, and the timely post.

Now I have a day to clear my mind, before trying to sleep knowing there's
a 20 ton teddy bear from NYC on the loose.
