Default Looking for help fixing canopy

The canopy on my Laser broke. I was taxiing with the canopy slightly cracked open (it was hot!!) and a gust of wind blew it open, smacking it against the wing and breaking it.

I had a new bubble made and now I'm looking for someone who can attach it to the frame for me. The canopy on this plane is much simpler than on RVs so I'm thinking anyone who's built an RV can certainly do this.

If you can recommend someone or a shop, please let me know. My plane is stranded at APV until I can fix the canopy and fly her home. Thanks!

Here's a photo of the plane and canopy.

Pretty frustrating. Sometimes Google photos post without problems and other times it won't show. It's not anything I'm doing on my part.

But you can at least click on the links and see the photos, right?

Default fixed!

I ended up fixing Brian's canopy. I wrote up a blog entry on the entire process. It's not an RV canopy, but very similar in construction.

If anyone else is looking for canopy construction/reconstruction help, let me know. I'm looking to take on some builder assist tasks in my semi-retirement.

This is a nice write up of the canopy process. I hope I can get to the canopy installation stage by this time next year.

Thanks very much for the help Bruce! It's now painted and I had my first flight with it 2 weeks ago. It's holding up well as can be seen in the following photo.
