Default FS: Vans RV-7 Project (including delivery)

Update 8/18/17:
I forgot to note that the 160-horsepower Lycoming 0-320 (model B2B) engine includes carburetor, dual magnetos and flywheel.

FS: Vans RV-7 Project

Hi Everybody,

(Thought I would offer this on VAF before running ads on other websites.)

I am offering my Vans RV-7 empennage and wing kits, along with a certificated 160-horsepower Lycoming 0-320 (model B2B) for sale.

Empennage Kit: is almost completely finished.

Wing Kit: One wing nearly complete, the other wing needing the fuel tank finished, some final riveting, etc.

I have been told that the build quality of both the empennage and wing kits is "excellent," per one of EAA Chapter 309's tech counselors.

Lycoming 160-horsepower 0-320 Engine (model B2B): The engine
is high time (around 2,000 hours) so my plan was to complete the plane, then fly around with this engine for a year or two while saving funds to rebuild it into a 180-plus horsepower Titan 0-340 engine (if you buy this project, I will put you in touch with the part supplier). Engine includes logs.

Also included are miscellaneous parts/hardware, including hundreds of like-new clecos and a brand-new, unused ATS Pneumatic Squeezer.

Price: $12,000, including FREE DELIVERY within 250 miles of Charlotte, NC. Depending upon buyer's location/distance, may be able to still deliver complete project to you at a very reasonable delivery fee TBD.

Thanks for looking, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions

Jimbaaawwwwtt!!!

Say it isn't so!

At least it'll let you devote more time to your 172. Great seeing you at Oshkosh.

Hi Doug,

Yeah, I don't really want to sell it...but I've got to focus 100% percent on my new business right now.

But soon as I've got the time again, I'm going to jump back into the RV building game though - it's just too much fun!!!

Is this a first run O-320 conical mount wide deck engine? No interest in the -7 kit, but am looking for this specific engine if you decide to break the pair up.

Hi Brian,

Yes, I believe it is an 0-320 wide deck with the conical mount. I will be sure to keep you in mind - I am getting some offers for splitting the engine and kits.

Thanks,

Hi Everybody,

FYI - there is a gentleman who is very interested in purchasing just the engine from this RV-7 project, so if anyone is interested in buying this project without the engine, please make me an offer for a package that would include:

RV-7 empennage kit
RV-7 wing kit
New-in-box ATS pneumatic rivet squeezer
Hundreds of like-new clecos
Miscellaneous parts/hardware
Free project delivery within 250 miles of Charlotte, NC (possible delivery beyond 250 miles at a very reasonable rate)

Thanks for looking!

As I said in my pm, I am interested in the squeezer along with any yokes/dies you have for it. Also any other small tools i.e.: micro-stop w/bits, any other items on the tool list.

Thanks,
Zach
