Garmin G5 Software 8.40 Now Available

G5-STC Electronic Flight Instrument software is now version 6.40,

Can you detail what change when you say :
- Changed VNAV mode interaction with selected altitude
- Added attitude / air data miscompare monitoring and annunciation

Eric,

These are software changes that will affect Certified installations only, and will not have any effect on EAB installations. To download software for your experimental installation, use the Experimental G5 Software Download Page.

Eric,

For certified installations only:

With a VNAV Descent Profile programmed into a GTN Navigator, the autopilot will not capture the descent path upon crossing the top of descent, unless the Selected Altitude is valid and at least 75 feet below the current aircraft altitude.

The G5 will compare attitude and air data with a GSU 25 if installed alongside a G3X Touch system.
