Default RV-4 plans "clarifications" plus odd hints.

Following on form the example set by the RV-3 fraternity ( http://www.vansairforce.com/communit...ad.php?t=56544 ) and spurred on by the recent thread started by Greg Brightwell, ( http://www.vansairforce.com/communit...d.php?t=123070 ) please mods can this thread be a sticky? Thanks!

My plan will be to update regularly as I find problems with the plans and instructions, so guys please chime in with your contributions. The more the merrier. Can I suggest that any contribution includes the relevant part numbers and whether it is empennage, wings, fuselage or firewall forward - see Andy Hill's initial post in the RV-3 thread noted above.

To be effective posts will need to be concise and not diverge off topic or become arguments about what is "best".

I'll post something shortly which I hope will be a useful example.

Thanks

Chris

Default Fuselage F-405A and F-406A

Could someone please clarify for me the lengths of these components? The plans show F405 as 21" and F-406 as 21 1/8". That's not what I have nor what would seem to fit - I think the F-405s are longer, more like 22"?? The F-406s need to be shorter - 21 1/8" seems about right. I'm suspecting an error on the plans.

Be grateful if someone could measure theirs before assembly and confirm.

Thanks

Chris
