Call the gals at Gallagher for a quote

Call Leah Ringeisen @ Gallagher
They get quotes from several insurance companies and let you pick what you feel is best for you. Having two pilots may also increase the premium. Mine was $1,600 for my -10 through them. I'm 1,500hr TT and 1,200hrs in the -10 with a fresh IR. Having the IR dropped the price $300!

INS Premium on RV-10

I'm considerably Low time at 580 HR, 10 HR in recently purchased -10 with 2 named Pilots: $1 Mil Liability, $180K Hull = $2190 Premium on my RV10 thru ( Gallagher spell-check?)

Pricing has been skyrocketing, especially on new policies and anything with any ?hair? on it.

Most of these are quoted electronically as we all use basically the same quoting engines.

Stick it out a few years more and things should mellow out.

I manage the insurance program for the company I work for and commercial property/caustically rates are all going up between 10-30%. For some reason the market is very tight right now. I renewed the insurance on my RV8 last month and it went up from $1264 in 2018 to $1396 in 2019. Up around 10%.

yeah, i got the sticker shock going from build insurance to flying insurance. was about 2400'ish dollars but had $250k hull. she said, don't worry because next year it will definitely go down. well, that wasn't so true and went up but can't imagine not getting the money i put in this airplane go down the drain if something were to happen. i was also told there is a huge difference in premiums over $200k and $250k scares insurance companies on an experimental. don't know if thats true, but i paid the premium on $250k hull.

Yeah, mine went up instead of down this year too.
